DS Cushion

Back to Cushions...

After finishing off the Caravan Cushion I was a bit inspired to make another cushion and I remembered that I had a little DS Quilts Kit  stashed away for a rainy day type thing somewhere, so I dug it out and whipped it up.

I vaguely followed the pattern... sort of.

Mine is a bit larger than the pattern and I included some grey fabric for the back and binding, so the original cushion insert I had was no longer big enough sooo...

I made this one too.

Patchy Pillow

The scrappy half is raw edge quilt as you go applique and then I have joined it to the green lattice type fabric which I also quilted. It has an envelope back and I have used a french style seam to the outside to enclose the raw edges.

Caravan Cushion

Caravan Cushion

This has been about a year in the making - well the stitchery part anyway, the actual pillow came together pretty quickly.

I am quite pleased this is finished.

This is a nice simple pre-printed design by Kristen Doran.
It is also one of the patterns we received in the goodie bag at the 2011 Daylesford Retreat.
