Stray Cat

Here is the stray cat that visits us at meal times and some other times too,
We call him Spare Cat...

Looks pretty comfortable don't you think?

We may have to stop calling him the stray cat!

And maybe Possum would be a better name for him.

Screen Printing

My Screen Print Tea Towel arrived...

Not really perfect as a tea towel with all the big smudgy bits...

So I think I will cut it up and use the leaves - yes they are leaves - for another project.

Ah yes... that's better already!

And I think I might have an idea brewing for them too...

Lickety Split

Tuesday night I made this...

Wooly Tube Bead Necklace

and this

Felt Ball Pot Trivet

Kanzashi Flowers

I used the Clover Kanzashi Flower maker and they are a dead cinch,
bit of a no brainer really.

and then I did also challenge myself a little bit and made a crochet flower...

Crochet Flower using Hemp yarn.

I was quite pleased with the result.
The Hemp is a bit thick - thin so the petals are a bit misshapen in areas - I like this.

And to be truthful it was not much of a challenge, I completed this fairly easily

maybe I should credit Tiff for her excellent tuition!

Loot Bags

No. 1 is turning 10

He asked me to make some party bags for his friends to take home
and here they are...

Filled to the brim!

Fair-ly Exhausted

Tiff and I went to Melbourne last weekend - it has taken me a week to get over it!
We had a good time.

I had my first visit to the vintage habby shop Luccello, Kimono House and Button Mania all in the Nicholas Building on Swanston Street - well worth it - so glad we squeezed that in.

This was my beautifully wrapped self gift from Luccello...

And here is a glimpse of what is inside.

We went to the Quilt and Craft Fair and spent a day and a half rushing up and down the aisles,

I had sore feet.

We did a workshop with Prudence Mapstone - a Knitted Flower Brooch...

Made from Linen Paper.

We also did a workshop using Lutradur and TAP's
Made a Quilted Kimono Purse &
Screen Printed a Tea towel with Louise Snook
(which we left behind but Louise has kindly sent it on to us), I will post a pic when I get it.

And we also went to see the King Tut Exhibition
at the Melbourne Museum on Saturday night.
