To Market, To Market

The December Market at the Library was huge OMG!

I sold so much that I did not think I would be able to do the January one...

But I am and it will be on January 8th.

Here are some photos of the December Market, It was a great day.

Good weather, great atmosphere, heaps of people - well done Mt. Gambier!

Penny helped me out on the day and had some of her artwork for sale

- she sold 3 of her paintings.

Molly Turned 21

My oldest niece had her 21st birthday this month.

Molly wanted cash for her birthday - don't we all?

I made her a sweet little card though...

To hold the folding!

The manager of the Riddoch Art Gallery asked me if I was interested in putting some of my handmade items in the Gallery shop back in November, so we had a little meeting and I showed her some of the things I make and she selected several things and said "I will have 6 of this and 12 of that and 6 of something else and all these handmade cards" and I went "ok" and then spent a week and a half madly producing it all so I could have it delivered by the 2nd of December as requested.

It all went well but I forgot to photograph it so I had to wait til the gallery opened on the 11th to go in to the shop and photograph it on the shelves!

All looks pretty good and what is even better - well I think anyway is that it is directly across from the Haigh's Chocolates!

Earth Fire Water

This is the title of the current community gallery exhibition being held at the Riddoch Gallery.

The Riddoch has been closed for renovation for some time, and to co-inside with the re-opening the public were invited to purchase a A4 canvas for $5 and do any type of art work on it with in the theme Earth, Fire, Water. There were over 500 sold, which is really fantastic.

The exhibition looks wonderful, there are some wonderful artists in this community.

And for added excitement...

Annie's artwork was one of 6 selected to be turned into postcards for the Gallery shop.

Soo sweet, I was so proud.

Christmas Op Shop Swap

How fun was this!

I so enjoyed being involved - it was like opping with new eyes - looking for something someone else might like not just what I would like.

Firstly just admire the wrapping

I really loved it and have used the idea for most of my wrapping so far...

This is the exciting bit..

There were 4 glass baubles with vintage bits of loveliness in them and a sweet little deer.

A gorgeous book of Hansel & Gretel and another lovely old book - The Last of the Mohicans.

And a vintage knitting needle turned bangle which is fun.

Narnia Wonder

All the hard work for the Christmas Parade was worth it - obviously as it was good fun and we got to dress up and it is all for the kids - but apart form that, we also won

'The Most Outstanding Entry Overall' prize!

This is me holding the trophy and award and we also received a cheque for $750.
